Love spending my money with a family owned business vs giant corporate hotel. Room looked like it had been recently renovated throughout. I travel by motorcycle and prefer a motel where I can park right outside my door. This motel was in a residential setting but not that far from major highways. All 1 level, no noisy kids or adults running the halls and banging doors.

I liked the value the most as this was cheaper than most motels in the area. It's not an amazing room but it's comfortable and serves its purpose.

I appreciate the cleanliness of this hotel and that it's fairly quiet. No doors slamming or anyone revving up their vehicles in the parking lot. The staff is very friendly upon arrival and on departure.

The room have been updated recently, though still not to a level comparable to name brand hotels. The mattress was nice and firm, so I got a good nights sleep. The owner was very friendly at check-in. The early morning check-out was easy, just leave the key card in the room.

The rooms are newly renovated and very clean - the people running it are very kind. Wi-Fi was good and I was able to teach a lesson on Zoom with no problems. It is true that there isn’t a microwave in the room but there’s a small shared area where you can microwave things very close to the rooms.

The Elm is a basic hotel that provides a clean bed and bathroom and sometimes that’s all you need. I’ve stayed at the Elm for years through several owners as I return for bicycle events in the area. I never need more than a simple bed and a quiet night’s sleep and The Elm consistently delivers. On my recent stay, I was particularly impressed with the kindness of the staff when I arrived late in the evening as well as the cleanness of the renovated room. As a friend commented, “you get what you pay for with The Elm.” It’s strange how rare this is these days. Sometimes the ordinary can be extraordinary. I’ll be back. Thank you.

We stayed at the Elm because it was the closest lodging to a festival we attended. Some previous photos had us a bit worried. However, the bathroom had remodeled shower walls, and the flooring was new hardwood composite that looked good. The bed was comfortable, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and our stay satisfied our needs very well for the long weekend. It is not a very attractive looking place, but the room was better that the parking lot.
